Thomas Henry Highsted was born in Stetchworth on 22nd May 1907 (Newmarket Q2-1907 3B:877), son of Thomas and Florence HIGHSTED (née BROWN).
1911 census...Aged 3, he was in Stetchworth with his father Thomas HIGHSTED [38] a joiner, born in March; his mother Florence, born Stetchworth; sister Matilda Maud [8] born in Newmarket and brother Francis George [7] born in Stetchworth. In the 1939 register the family were at High Street, Stetchworth. Father [27-7-1875] was a carpenter/joiner; mother 8-1-1988] and Thomas was a postman. There are two closed records. |

It is not known how he died, nor what medal entitlement he may have had, nor whether he had been wounded or died of illness. He died at White Lodge Hospital, Newmarket.
